Shop Floor Connect/Resource Tracker/DNC Connect/3rd Party Integration/API – Release 2021.1 – February 2021

The new Shop Floor Connect, Resource Tracker, DNC Connect, 3rd Party Integration, API, MMR Service version 2021.1 is released and now available. Please look below for the enhancements and changes of the different modules.

The release is available for all customers with maintenance agreement and access to our Customer Information Center (CIC) for download (please create a release activity).

All customers who do not have access to our CIC platform and want to download the software over CIC have to require access over the following link. Please send an email to service@aplusb-solutions.com if you want the release on a data medium. Direct Siemens PLM Software customers can get the release from the GTAC download area.

This Shop Floor Connect Release 2021.1 supports all Teamcenter UA versions from 10.x up to the actual version Teamcenter 13.x.

Urgent Service notes

• DNC Connect only supports the actual NX versions who are under maintenance from Siemens.
• For customers who want to update on the Teamcenter 11.3 version or higher: From TC 11.3 and on, a new license verification will be done upon the creation of manufacturing objects like MEProcess, MEOP, MEWorkArea and their sub-types (including custom types). This check will be done on server side per Teamcenter policy and to ensure license verification. It will use two new feature keys: 1) mfg_planning_lite for verifying MEProcess, MEOP and their sub-types 2) mfg_plant_author for verifying MEWorkArea and its sub-types.
• This new license check will be done in addition to other license verification that exists today. If you don’t find them in your Teamcenter 11.3 or higher license key please get in contact with Siemens PLM.
• The new UI Shop Floor Connect Active DNC drop support of Internet Explorer 11 and older! Please use Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome or the new Microsoft Edge Browser!

Enhancements

• Upgrade internal Tomcat to version 9.0.40
• As of TC 12.4.0.3 and TC 13.1, the previous ShopFloorConnect TEM feature is no longer required for new ShopFloorConnect installations. Instead, the new “Part Manufacturing Shopfloor Integration” (PM0) feature should be used.
  ShopFloorConnect detects the template when the DNC setup folder is created and sets the types to be used in the configuration files.
  When upgrading an existing installation, the previous TEM feature must continue to be used. A migration of the Business-Object types (BO’s) is not provided.
• Upgrade existing ShopFloorConnect TEM Feature for TC13 support. This is only required for upgrades where SFC is already installed. New installations (TC13 and newer) can now use the “Part Manufacturing” feature (PM0).
• SFC_RequestSFCWorkpackage_20174 now also returns the UID of the corresponding BOMLine in SFCToolActivityData to access additional attributes.
• SFC_RequestSFCWorkpackage_20174 now evaluates the configuration parameter “MENCToolActivity.List.Pack”.igration is not possible. The two versions cannot be operated simultaneously.
• ActiveDNC: Contains the first element of the MRL SFC Resource Tracker functionality – open a workpackage to access the tool list. More functions will be added in the coming versions. Important: The MRL Resource Tracker functionality requires Teamcenter Business Objects which are included in the “Part Manufacturing Shop Floor Integration” (PM0) feature as of TC 12.4.0.3 or 13.1.
• ActiveDNC: The display of a work package has been changed. The activity folders are now displayed individually with the files contained and the associated tool list.
• SFCWorkpackage (JSON) now contains the MEActivity objects listed in the root_activity.

Bugfixes/Change

• A refresh problem in SFC_RM_RequestResourcePackage_20171 was fixed which caused new elements in the BOM being found at a later time.
• ActiveDNC: Fixed a problem where a configured preview dataset was not displayed in the search result list if no preview image is available in the selected ItemRevision.
• Setup: The installation dialog has been modified, tabs that are no longer needed have been removed. No more need to select the Teamcenter version.
