Urgent Service notes

  • DNC Connect only supports the actual NX versions who are under maintenance from Siemens.
  • For customers who want to update on the Teamcenter 11.3 version or higher: From TC 11.3 and on, a new license verification will be done upon the creation of manufacturing objects like MEProcess, MEOP, MEWorkArea and their sub-types (including custom types). This check will be done on server side per Teamcenter policy and to ensure license verification. It will use two new feature keys: 1) mfg_planning_lite for verifying MEProcess, MEOP and their sub-types 2) mfg_plant_author for verifying MEWorkArea and its sub-types.
This new license check will be done in addition to other license verification that exists today. If you don’t find them in your Teamcenter 11.3 or higher license key please get in contact with Siemens PLM.

Shop Floor Connect

Enhancements

  • SFC-Core: New endpoint (/tcdnc/rest/status) for status queries from external monitoring tools. This endpoint either returns the HTTP status 204 if SFC is started and the connection to Teamcenter is available or 502/503.
  • SFCCore: The configuration file SFCQuery_conf.xml as well as the UI_… configuration files can now also be configured depending on Teamcenter group/role/user
    (directory ShopFloorConnect/conf/organization).
  • ActiveDNC: An external application can now be called up before executing a search in Teamcenter and the search can be executed based on its result or canceled with a message.
  • ActiveDNC: Add support to create a change request for a loaded workpackage. Configuration is available in SFCAdmin.
  • Failover: An e-mail can now also be sent when SFC automatically switches back from failover to online mode. The heading and message content can be configured in SFCAdmin.

Bugfixes/Changes

  • Common: The automatic migration of user data from the configuration files to the internal CacheDB has been removed. If an SFC version prior to 2015.1 needs to be updated, an intermediate step via version 2407 is now necessary.blem has been fixed, the new dataset type is now taken into account immediately.
  • SFCCore: E-mail sending now also supports SMTPS (secure connection via SSL/TLS). This setting can be configured in the SFCAdmin.
  • ActiveDNC: The names of the Teamcenter dataset types to be displayed as HTML in the ActiveDNC viewer are now configurable via SFCAdmin
(ActiveDNC -> UI Config -> Viewer panel -> HTML).
  • ActiveDNC: When changing groups/roles, the current display was not updated and therefore changed options were not visible or invisible. This has been fixed.

Mcenter Service

Enhancements

  • MMR/T: Tool assemblies created in Teamcenter for multiple use (multitool) can now be transferred to Mcenter. Additional cutting edges with the corresponding tool type are created in Mcenter.

Bugfixes/Changes

  • Common: Spaces at the end of mapping configuration entries are now removed. Previously, an error or nothing was returned if, for example, the attribute ‘-40314 ‘ was not found.

MI-Server

Bugfixes/Changes

DirectMode: Fixed a problem where special characters such as # and % were not processed in the password for the SMB connection.
