Shop Floor Connect / DNC Connect / 3rd Party Integration / API / Mcenter MMR Service Release 2023.1 – February 2023

The new Shop Floor Connect, DNC Connect, 3rd Party Integration, API, MMR Service version 2023.1 is released and now available. Please look below for the enhancements and changes of the different modules.

The release is available for all customers with maintenance agreement and access to our Customer Information Center (CIC) for download (please create a release activity).

All customers who do not have access to our CIC platform and want to download the software over CIC have to require access over the following link. Please send an email to service@aplusb-solutions.com if you want the release on a data medium. Direct Siemens PLM Software customers can get the release from the GTAC download area.

This Shop Floor Connect Release 2023.1 supports all Teamcenter UA versions from 10.x up to the actual version Teamcenter 14.x.

Urgent Service notes

• DNC Connect only supports the actual NX versions who are under maintenance from Siemens.
• For customers who want to update on the Teamcenter 11.3 version or higher: From TC 11.3 and on, a new license verification will be done upon the creation of manufacturing objects like MEProcess, MEOP, MEWorkArea and their sub-types (including custom types). This check will be done on server side per Teamcenter policy and to ensure license verification. It will use two new feature keys: 1) mfg_planning_lite for verifying MEProcess, MEOP and their sub-types 2) mfg_plant_author for verifying MEWorkArea and its sub-types.
  This new license check will be done in addition to other license verification that exists today. If you don’t find them in your Teamcenter 11.3 or higher license key please get in contact with Siemens PLM.
• The new UI Shop Floor Connect Active DNC drop support of Internet Explorer 11 and older! Please use Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome or the new Microsoft Edge Browser!

Enhancements

• SFC-Core: Optimize “Reload configuration” to reduce load time.
• SFCCore: Optimization in API function SFC_RequestSFCWorkpackage_20143
• Login to the MI administration (/tcw/admin) can now be restricted to a specific Teamcenter group and/or role.
• SFCCore: The default value of the ‘Search_WP-Folder_at_IR’ property in Fit4TC_Configuration.properties.default has been changed from ‘true’ to ‘false’. This only affects new installations.
• SFCCore: The default value of the ‘ME_SearchForChildrensAtOccurrences-Folder_at_IR’ property in Fit4TC_Configuration.properties.default has been changed from ‘METarget, METool’ to an empty string. This only affects new installations.
• ActiveDNC: During a transfer to the machine, the current user name is also transferred to the MTC so that it can write this information to a log file.
• Upgrade internal Tomcat to version 9.0.69.
• Added support for Windows 2022 Server.

Bugfixes/Changes

• Setup/Update: The file “conf/UI_SearchPanel.conf” was created under the wrong name “UI_SearchPanel.conf.conf”. This has been fixed.
• SFCCore: Fix error ‘Transfer failed … “null\filename” ‘ when downloading a file via MTC. Remove following API functions: SFC_Config_GetFileServerConfig_20141 and Getftpdata.
• SFCCore: Loading a workpackage aborts with a NullPointerException because the object type of an activity folder cannot be retrieved. This problem has been fixed.
• SFCCore: Fixed an issue in license.jsp where a new license could not be saved.
• SFCCore: Optimize memory usage when searching for workpackages that contain a larger BOM.
• SFCCore: Output the required item revision attribute names for create item into SFCCore.log to identify missing.

Mcenter MMR Service

Enhancements

• MMR/P: Transfer of additional attachments of a NCPackage. New configuration key NcRevision.Attachments.DatasetTypes in MFG2MMR.mapping.properties
• MMR/P: The content of “Workpiece ID” must now be set using the following mapping configuration: NcPackage.WorkpieceId.Pattern

Bugfixes/Changes

• MMR/P: Enter only a new comment to a NC program revision did not start a upload to Teamcenter anymore.
• MMR/P: If aTeamcenter Workpackage did not contain a MeWorkArea in the BOM, no NcProgram could be created in MMR/P, the transfer aborted with a NullPointerException. This problem has been fixed.
• MMR/P: The sample file ‘MFG2MMR.mapping.properties.default’ has been updated. ‘TestRun’ has been renamed to ‘TrialRun’ and ‘ManualVerificationAfterTestRun’ to ‘ManualVerificationAfterTrialRun’.
• MMR/P: The timestamp in the ‘conf/MFG_MMR/lastCheckDate.txt’ file no longer contains a time zone suffix.

MI-Server

Enhancements

• Core: The additional init-param specifications for ‘url’ are no longer necessary in web.xml and have been removed.
• Upgrade internal Tomcat to version 9.0.69.

Bugfixes/Changes

• FTP client: Fixed a problem where the FTP connection could not be established if there was a space in the specified FTP directory.
• SFC Resource Tracker – Kelch Filter: Support of multiple measuring points (ME{n})
• Add SkipFlushSerialInputBuffer into mi_server.ini.default.
